Required Course Descriptions
The University of Tulsa is endorsed by the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) to award certificates for the federal INFOSEC training standards 4011, 4012, 4013, 4014, 4015 and 4016.
The Certificate in Computer Information Security is a 15 credit hour program that provides students with a solid foundation in the field of information security. The Certificate is built on the knowledge that students will be sufficiently prepared to enter the program. This includes 60 hours of college level credit that includes a mathematics component. (Significant industrial, military, or government experience in information technology and/or computer security may be substituted for the mathematics component.)
