Introduction To Computer Security
 
This is an eight week 3 credit hour course
Introduction to security problems in computing, basic encryption and decryption techniques, secure encryption systems, cryptographic protocols and practices, security in networks and distributed systems, legal and ethical issues in computer security.
 
 
Secure Electronic Commerce
 
This is an eight week 3 credit hour course
Electronic commerce technology, models and issues. Principles and case studies of electronic commerce. Introduction to security architectures for electronic commerce including digital signatures, certificates, and public key infrastructure (PKI). Legal and national policy electronic commerce issues.
 
 
Enterprise Security Management
 
This is an eight week 3 credit hour course
Managerial aspects of computer security and risk management for enterprises. Accreditation, procurement, extension and operation principles for secure computing systems. Security policy and plan development. Contingency, continuity and disaster recovery planning. Incident handling and response.
 
 
IT Security Risk Management
 
This is an eight week 3 credit hour course
Risk analysis and threat profiling for mission critical information systems. Adversarial analysis and countermeasure synthesis. Policy development and implementation. Incident handling and response.  Issues of legal liability and regulatory compliance.
 
 
 
Protecting Networks and Automated Information Systems
 
This is an eight week 3 credit hour course
Comprehensive study of security for current and developing information systems and networks. Host-based and network-based intrusion detection. Network security appliances including firewalls and access control devices. Database and operating system protection techniques, tools and technologies.
